timing question

i have an 85 c-10 with a 305, it's equiped with california emmisions i was wondering what the timing is supposed to be set at, i just bought this truck it has only 131,000 on it and the tag inb the engine compartment has been removed, it also has a factory hei distributor

4 degrees advanced is typical of mid 80's smog motors.
