A shortwide 6.2 with working a/c and 26 mpg? No, your truck would never make it back.

lol didn't think so...so that's a NO...you can't take it, but you can come test drive it...lol...

btw it's also got all brand new interior with sound deadener, and soon to have Tahoe buckets if I can figure out how to mount them...I really need a console, just don't know which one I want yet...

If you can make it here there are 3 different ones you can drive. My K10 is a 24MPG beast. Burb is 20MPG and my friends 1 ton is about 20MPG.

dunno really...I used to have a Tahoe, and to tell you the truth I hated the darn console in it...you could never keep it clean on top...and the drink holder was too big for anything other than a coffee mug and some of those were to big to fit...so it wasn't the greatest designed console...I am going to get an overhead console, sunvisors, and a compass/outside temp mirror out of a tahoe and put it in my truck...that's one of the projects that's on the back burner...I'm leaning more towards a squarebody blazer/burb console or a 67-72 console with cup holders for drinks not seatbelts...and then again, I might not have enough room between the buckets to fit those two later consoles...I need to do alittle more research...another thing is that it will be alot easier to put my gun in the console than it is to put it in the glove box...that sucks...

"...easier to put my gun in the console than it is to put it in the glove box..."

On second thought, I would probably return your truck.

the problem with that is I'm 5'6"...that's a long noticeable stretch to put it in the glove box if I get pulled over...

Re: Any Olds 5.7 diesels out there in operation?

i have a custom combiner buddy whose shop truck is a 79 c-10 w/ a 5.7 Diesel. it has over 200K on it, but he put a 42K motor in it out of a wrecked Olds 98 of one of his cutting customers a few years back. its a cool truck and I try to buy it every time i see him. i'll see him in February and will try to snap a pic.
