Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
I just spent over an hour updating a new "order list", when I went to post it, it took me to the login page and I lost all of the info. VERY FRUSTRATING.
My original post said "in order of interest" so if you asked about a part or mentioned it in any way, you will be considered in that order. I made a mistake on the cruise control when I overlooked the first post. Actually the first interest on the cruise control was without the lever, he passed, the Thealien showed interest in the lever, technically, he still has first dibs on the lever only, the 71 GMC SHORTY, the jaros44sr. I am sorry I screwed that up, I will be very careful not to let it happen again. Jason

I'd appreciate a shipping price on the column and steering wheel to 08753. Also still in line for the radio.
Thanks. Scott

I had first dibs on the headlights with buckets and i'll take them for the 30 plus shipping if you want to hold onto until the other items check out to save a little on shipping. On the AC/Heat don't need any of the hoses or actual vents just the main boxes. Happy Parting!

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
The cruise is correct for 68-70, but the correct turn signal cruise switch is missing. That is the reason I passed. The correct switch brings good money, and is where most of the price comes from on the cruise. Seacrow, you pricing for the unit though is fair. Good luck with the items, there were some nice parts on it. Trevor

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
71GMC Shorty and Jaros44sr,
I would like you both to accept my apology, i made and honest mistake, TWICE, if you reread the thread, "Thealien" has first dibs on the cruise lever, then 71GMC, then Jaros would have been next. I'll be the first to admit the mix up and I am an idiot for not thoroughly double checking the order before I made any deals. As it stand now, I am emailing more detailed pics of the lever only to thealien and if he wants the cruise lever it's his for $50 and the rest of the system will be available for my original price of $300 to 71 GMC shorty, if thealien passes on the lever, then the entire system will be offered to 71 GMC shorty. Jaros, no hard feelings, it was an honest mistake and the last thing I wanted ot do was offend anyone. to everyone else and their parts requests, I have completed the dismantling of the truck and I will be actively sending out shipping quotes beginning tomorrow. Please continue your patience and understand that it's not easy tearing one of these trucks down in a week, cleaning and taking pics and keeping track of this thread. I've tried to offer these parts at reasonable prices since I'm only a hobbyist and I love to see good stuff back on the street. I want everyone to be satisfied so they can enjoy their truck as I do mine. with that said, I have the entire truck torn down to cab and rolling chassis with the excpetion of a few AC parts. Pics to follow.

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
Better pics of the cruise lever for Thealien and the core support with a mongrul motorhome dual battery setup and the filler pan for 67-68, I have both the original battery hold down and the holddown for the aux. battery setup. It has some surface rust but even the battery tray is savable. Blast it, paint it and use it. The filler pan is perfect. $80 plus shipping (very heavy and very expensive)

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
I don't know if you anyone is interested but these are the inner fenders, they aren't perfect they both have minor rust in the fronts and have been heavily undercoated. The each have extra holes drilled for the former cruise bracket and other motorhome stuff. I hate to throw things out. $20 each prefer local pickup or the shipping will be pretty hefty on these. The undercoating added some weight. Massive radiator with an aftermarket tranny cooler. Looks to be in good shape, It's a Harrison should be checked and painted and the overflow nipple needs to be soldered back in. $30 plus shipping. both front fenders and hood are pretty much shot but if somebody local wants them for some reason, come and get em or I'll scrap them.

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
I've decided to offer the rolling chassis, it's an ext. C-30, 8 lug, leaf spring, 10 bolt 4.56 rear end with the cab as pictured, minus the AC parts that remain in the cab. The cab is OK but's its a walkthrough, AC dash, has some rust on the doors, the pass. side rocker and the front cab corners. I'm no expert on these things but a few of my friends say it's not so bad. I have a clear title for it. It would make a great project for a crew cab dually or some other crazy idea. Suspension is in pretty good shape, no rot on the frame. Tires are dry rotted. $300 with title and VIN plate or I can deliver it anywhere in Florida for $500. If you don't want it delivered, bring a flatbed that's at least 16' long or it won't fit The engine is not original the casting number is 14010207 which is a 80-85 truck 350, possibly a replacement engine. I see nothing wrong with it or any indications that's it has any problems. I will sell the engine minus any brackets or accessories as a long block with valve covers and oil pan and exhaust manifolds for $200 pickup only. I will price the engine accessories as I disassemble them. THM400 short shaft transmission. looks to be original to the motorhome, has date code from 68, fluid is clean, mileage unknown for sure. I understand that motorhome trannys have beefier planetary gears or something like that. I'd like to see $500 for it. I'll be getting shipping quotes together tomorrow.

Re: parting out 1968 C-30 Custom Camper 28K original miles fact AC, speed minder, cru
And for you cruise control buffs, here are some pics of the entire cruise control system with the lever, I don't know if it's the correct lever, but it's what was in the truck and looked original to me. It includes the brake light switch with cancel, the brake pedal vacuum cancel switch, the wiring harness to the transducer, the vacuum lines to the throttle hold diaphram and I am including the throttle assembly since it has the chain hookup attached to it. I assembled it in the photos as it is assmebled in the truck. I became a cruise control expert when I removed this. It's actually a simple but brilliant system and I bet it works, everything seems to be in good condition minus some pitting on the cruise lever.
