Cool A Hello from Central CA

Hey there everyone. I'm just a 20 year old from Fresno Ca. Besides for me being new to this site, I am also new to trucks completely. I've owned 6 cars, and now i have my first truck. So i will probably be looking for some help, with most likely stupid questions haha. But anyways, my new love is a 68 GMC Longbed, my step dad's grandfather was the original owner and the truck has ~75k Original miles. So that's the info on my project.

By the way, my first n00b question: What's the cheapest way to lower one of these babies? I'm used to Coilovers and such, and know roughly nothing about truck suspension.

Not at the moment =/ I should be able to snap a few pics soon. However it's just a bone stock 68 white longbed. Has some surface rust, shouldn't be too much of a problem. And i've taken the side trim off.

Welcome to the board.
There's a lot of good folks from the board down in the Fresno area.

I can't help with the lowering question, unfortunately.

You may want to pose the question in the suspension section. Lotsa knowledgeable people there; well lotsa knowledgeable people everywhere here.
And the prevailing attitude is "the stupid question is the 1 that doesn't get asked."

Yup...Your are correct my friend. I'm a Fresnan for sure. Maybe some one will start a post/show or something for the Cen Cal types to get together.
