72 Cheyenne LWB. Help with WIW?

I am looking at another truck but wanted to see what you guys thought on the price. Heres some details.

Tailgate is after market I believe.
Paint the guy said was not great but it is a re spray of the original colors.
Sport mirrors, PWR brakes, PWR steering, Tilt, A/C
Newly rebuilt 350/TH350.
Non cut dash.
Truck ralleys with decent tires.
Rust on P side inner fender maybe a little in core.
Front bumper looks bent.
Rear bumper is step.
Owner says it has Custom Deluxe on the SPID but Cheyenne emblems.
Interior is black dash pad but cream carpet and door panels.
Owner just put new brakes all around.
Rockers were replaced directly ontop of originals.
Cab corners looked good he says.

I have not seen the truck but its about 2-3 hours away.

Hes asking $3,000.00

Actually set up as Cheyenne Super. If it rides and drives like it looks and you want to pay retail it is probably worth $3000. The things that keep it from being completely original are still tasteful. The big question is...Do you like it.

Looks like a solid truck. If it runs/drives/stops the way you want it to, seems like it'd be worth the $3k.

Re: 72 Cheyenne LWB. Help with WIW?

I'd be leery of the rockers like that...probably hiding a lot and will rust right back out eventually. Consider if you want/need to repaint. Check the cab supports. Sounds like a decent deal especially if that's all new woodgrain trim on the truck like it looks...
