Screw Jacks

My truck didnt come with a tire jack, so I will need to get one for emergency changes. My questions are:

1) What kind of jack was originally sold with the 1/2 ton 3100 '51 pickup? Was it a screw jack?

2) If so, what lb rating do i need to buy, 1 ton, 2 ton, etc?

3) Anybody know where i can get one used?

Thanks

Re: Screw Jacks

I've used both the scissor type and hydraulic type on my 53 and the hydraulic is MUCH better. Both jacks I currently have are 2 tons and they barely do the job. My buddy let me borrow his 3 ton jack and it lifted the truck up with no problems. They cost a little bit more than the 2 ton jacks, but its definitely worth it.
