Stormy Montana says Thanks!
I'm brand new on here and wanted to say hi to everybody and thank you all for the response to my video!
I 've just turned 16 and haven't really learned to drive yet. My mom bought me a 1969 GMC pickup for my birthday last year and I'm still in the process of getting it all fixed up. My next projects are a new front windsheild and air conditioning. I really look forward to getting to know all of you and soaking up some of your expertise in my fixer uper. I'm excited about all my new buddies on here! |

Welcome from snowy, cold minnesota. Pretty nice truck you have to start with. I was waiting to see the smokey burnout in the vid but... Maybe next time. You came to the right place owning a truck like that. Eric

That was the first time I ever drove anything in my life. The film crew considered it life threatening as it was- an attempt at a burn out would have sent them over the edge. haha!

Living on the edge isn't all bad...It will come in good time. So how about a little history on the truck? Tell us what you know about it.

Re: Stormy Montana says Thanks!
I found it sitting outside a guys shop. He had bought it from someone that intended to race it. The wiring was screwed up, huge racing motor, no exhast system to speak of. It was pretty much undriveable on the street. Mom mom paid $2500 for it. She had the guy that works on her car take all the racing stuff out and sell it. We've spent the past year trying to get it back in running condition. With the stuff he sold, I've only had to spend an extra $1000 on it. I'm paying for the fix up myself with money from my shows. It looks like air conditioning is going to be my biggest expense so far.
