BBC assembly tomorrow, Need some answers asap
Hey guys gettin ready to plastigauge my motor tommorrow morning, what should main and rod bearing clearences be in range.

why are you using plastigauge? not a good idea, mic the journals and your mains and rods

Plastigauge works just fine when its use correctly. Just make sure you follow the instructions. If you have a repair manual it should have the specs. Which bb is it?

.003 is a safe measurement. I've gone as tight as .0025 on my race engines with lightweight oil but wouldn't recommend it on the street.
