62 hood to cowl weather stripping

I bought some weather stripping that is supposed to go in between the hood and the cowl for a 62 but can not figure out how to install it. Whenever I try it just causes my hood to not close right. Amy body have any suggestions?

Re: 62 hood to cowl weather stripping

Here's a couple of shots of mine to show the orientation. The seal goes under the flange of the cowl vent. The screws holding the cowl vent in place clamp the seal against the cowl, with the upper flap pointing toward the windshield.
