Front end light issue

Hey guys, what do you know about when you have on the running lights and then go to put on the headlights, the front running lights go out?? The truck in question is a '65...(the front signals work with the headlights on but no runners)

Runing/parking lights are not supposed to stay on when you put head lights on. You can wire them to stay on though if you decide you want them that way.

I believe there is a different year switch that can be installed to do this. I don't know which years though. Maybe from a car?

Geez, thanks, I was starting to think there might have been something wrong with the truck.....(I did have a sneaky suspicion it was functioning as designed but I wasn't sure).
