rotors?

i got some rotors from a van at the salvage today,as they were brand new and cheap.

well i get them home and find that they are wider than the ones i have from a front end i got for my 70 and the calipers wont fit with brake pads. yes befor ya ask i did use a c-clamp and pressed the piston back into the caliper.

i dont know what year the front end i have is from but the rotors from the van looked the same, but wider.

can i just go back and get the calipers? or just take the rotors back and get thinner rotors. the front end i have is from a 1/2 ton and i think it is a 73 or 74 model year.

also are the van rotors and truck rotors the same? stupid question i know i was under the impression that the vans and trucks used the same front ends.

nevermind i went and figured it out. i have the 1 inch rotors and the ones i got fromt eh bone yard were the thicker ones. i could have kept them but then i would have had to get the calipers and spindels to make em work.

i went back and found 2 that were fairly new and were the thinner rotors.

thanks for all the replies
