Re: frames

the cab mounts are different.63-66 frames are the same.60-62 frames are the same.would have to change cab mounts on frame or modify cab support braces on your cab.

Re: frames

yes it can be done.the front crossmember can be swapped, but i have never done this so i am no expert on the details.i have known of others who have used the later crossmember in the 60-62 frames.also you can use the 67-72 style.the 71-72 trucks have disc brakes and 5 lug suspension.

Re: frames

The rear cab mounts will line up. On the front cab mounts, you'll just need to drill 2 holes. Tha radiator support will bolt up. The bed......you'll have to drill some holes since the '65 bed mounts on the frame are closer together than on the '62. The rear bed sill has the frame mounts welded to it. You could remove them and reweld them in the correct location. So it's a bit of work but can be done without too much hassle.

As compared to swapping the front crossmember, it's 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other. One thing to consider when swapping frames is keeping it all legal according to your county or state.
