Low mileage Jimmy now in Barrett-Jackson Florida
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...04%2f03%2f2010
You may need to cut and paste the link, but it is in the Palm Beach Florida auction this weekend. It might have more miles on a trailer than driven! Lot # 333.1 Minnesota-San Diego-Colorado-Wisconsin-Florida. Last edited by John H.; 03-31-2010 at 11:05 PM. |

Re: Low mileage Jimmy now in Barrett-Jackson Florida
That's just wrong. My neighbor lost $12k when he thought he was buying a restored Vette worth $75k over the Internet. Wired the money and lost it all.
Out of frustration he turned right around and purchased a 67 Impala SS Convertible from a local dealer called Automaniacs. I've visited their shop in the past. The prices were disgusting. They had 71' C-10, no a/c, mix-match parts and a so-so paint job. Wanted $17k. He paid $30k for his Impala with no a/c. They charged him another $1200 to add the a/c. Essentially his lost and subsequent purchase puts him at $43k for the Impala

Re: Low mileage Jimmy now in Barrett-Jackson Florida
So, this truck sold for $23,500 on ebay at the beginning of March and it sold Friday for $27,000. That's a $3500 gain in 30 days. Was it actually worth his time doing this? Pretty big gamble for only 3500 bucks. I would have thought that $23k was the high end for a truck like this and to try and get any more than that would be pretty risky. If I had tried this, I would've taken a $3500 loss, but that's just me. I have shi**y luck.
So, after all of this guys costs... getting the truck shipped, cleaning it up, etc... was it worth his effort? |

I dont know why but something doesn't seem right about the truck, but then again i'm always skeptical with "low mileage" trucks.

Re: Low mileage Jimmy now in Barrett-Jackson Florida
I knew it was something like that Not worth the effort for so little. I'm betting the seller thought he would get more for it.
