I don't see anything wrong with it really but the part about most consumers will save the increased cost on gas is bull**** imo. As cars get better mileage they will figure out a way to make gas cost more. Big oil isn't going to just tell the shareholders "well cars get better mileage now so we sell less gas" and go on.
