Instrument Bezel Insert - Aluminum from Classic Parts

Has any one ever used one of these from Classic Parts? The one I have out of the Burb is pretty cruddy with all of the left over glue from woodgrain paper applique and is starting to chip. Do these fit over the original aluminum insert / overlay or must the original be removed 1st?

did you see this yet...this guy restored his bezel and it looks factory to me...and it didn't cost $40 either...he did the bezel and the other "aluminum" trim inside the truck...I'm going to be doing this to mine eventually...
