Not sure how many of you guys know everybody from WhyWear, but we lost one of our members Wednesday night. Bob (the guy w/ long dreadlocks) missed a curve on his motorcycle while driving at night. He left behind a 25 year old wife and 3 kids. It's a sad day for us, but we're trying to see the positive and keep our heads up. I know personally how much Bob loved our slogan "Why Be Normal". He loved pushing the envelope against the "churchs" vision of how a christian should look w/ his dreads, tattoos of scriptures, and biker clothes. Bob (like the rest of us at WhyWear) wanted to show you guys/gals that following Christ doesn't mean you have to wear a suit/tie and follow some cookie cutter image. You don't have to clean up your act, your style, your anything...Just come as you are. HE will change you and your ways. I know first hand...just ask me. Let's face it, death is inevitable in this world. We're all going to die and go spend eternity in one of two places. I know where Bob is today and I know he wants every crazy minitrucker to be there with him someday. I loved Bob and I want you guys to know how much he loved ya'll and our scene.
Nice to know there are Brothers in Christ on the board. I am saddened to hear of the loss. My Prayers are with his Family. Are there thoughts to fund raising for his family?

Re: Project '86

Yea, a memorial show is in the works to raise money for his wife and kids. Shay put the details up on a few sites...

Hey guys, we appreciate the great response towards Bob and his family. All of the prayers and kind words are greatly appreciated and really help. We have decided to throw a benefit show for his wife and 3 beautiful kids. Bob's wife Courtney was a stay at home mom who raised and homeschooled their kids. She now has to find a job and take care of a mortgage, 3 kids, and all of the usual bills. Someone in her family came forward and paid off her car completely ($8000)! She is so thankful for this but she still needs help. I don't have a date set for the show yet, but I just want to inform you guys so you can be thinking about it. Every penny brought in at the show will go to her and their kids. I would love to see the minitruckin family pull together and do something wonderful for one of our own. Please post any ideas you have, possible names for the show, vendors who would like to participate, items to be donated for a raffle, etc... We have 4 great bands who have already stepped up and said they want to play at it. We also have some tattoo studios who have donated gift cards for us to raffle off! Any more ideas?...let's hear them. Thanks guys.

Soon as the details are nailed down I will post the flyer

Well, our town has stepped up and supported Courtney like no other. They have paid off her vehicle, funeral, and she has money left over. She still has a mortgage, 3 little mouths to feed, utilities, and other odd and end stuff. We have decided to push the show back to Sept. to make it as big and beneficial as it can be. We have had lots of support from businesses in the scene that have offered up products for us to raffle off at the show to help raise more money. I'm very humbled by the outpouring so far and I feel like we need to really build this benefit show up to raise as much money for Courtney as we can. I can't wait to release the flyer to show you guys who is donating stuff to the show! The show will prolly be in September (weekend of the 11th or the weekend of the 18th). I hope everyone will make a point to make it. It is going to be loaded with fun stuff for everyone. We're really excited about what we have in store!...and we're really excited at the products that have been donated for some lucky raffle ticket winners!!!

Re: Project '86

If only I could consider getting down there for it. But our 5th anniversary is in August, and my brother is getting married in Oregon in Sept. If not for those 2 big things I would do everything to make it down there. I am sure that the efforts made and the outcome of them all, will be great witness.

I welded 2x4 into the frame and cut off the 2" or so that hung below that. All body mounts are in the stock locatin but the frame is only 4" tall instead of 6".

Yea, those were 22x9 all the way around. Nothing special was done to make them fit.
