As for the proportioning valve, some guys are using the stock disc/drum one with success, others use the disc/drum with an adjustable in the rear line, and others run only an adjustable in the rear line. There is also the disc/disc proportioning valves. I would say it will somewhat depend on which calipers you use. If you're going with the Wilwood dual D52's, they recommend using the 1.5" dia piston models in the rear with the 2"up front to help maintain some of the braking bias. So I guess decide which calipers you are going to use and then we can go from there.

Do you have an application for those rotors? It sounds like you setup and drilled the holes on a CNC? How long do you figure it took you to turn the original rotors into hubs? It seems like someone already makes aluminum hubs that will work on the truck spindles. I'll have to find them and see how much they are.

KORE3 makes billet alum hubs for C10's. They're very nice & were less than 4-bills.

That's right, that was one of them. Thanks Scot. Chris Alston makes them too, but I don't know if they're available seperately. Are the KORE3 hubs available in a 5x5? The website just says the have a dual 5 x 4 3/4" pattern.

No CNC here, just a lexmark printer, punch and hammer... I didnt turn the rotor into a hub just yet... I wanted to measure the runout of the hub, or see if there was any before I cut up a brand new rotor.
As far as the rotor its from a 2003 newer dodge ram 1500. As far as the new pattern I used a template I created in Autocad. Before I attached it to the face of the rotor, I got a pick and poked a small hole where the chevy pattern was (makes center punching it supa easy. I attached the pattern to the face of the rotor with some stuff called butyle aka dumb dumb (it's like sticky tack but for cars) and stuck it onto the face of the rotor. Turned it upside down and moved the pattern untill everything lined up. Silmply took a center pinch and hammer to mark the new pattern. Removed template and center punched the new holes a second time. Used a 1/8 bit to start with, then progressed to 17/32. Later I chosed 17/32 becuase it was a hair larger than 1/2 to give me a little wiggle room incase a hole was not 100% on the money. I will put a picture of the pattern I am refering to.

They are available in dual patterns. Mine are 5x4.75 & 5x5.

I have been talking back and forth with Tobin at KORE3 the last couple of days. I am getting ready to buy their kit with 14" front and 6 piston C6/Z06 setup and 13.4 4 piston on the rear. If you skip the parking brake it is actually a reasonably priced kit. I just need to make sure the calipers will clear my wheels.

Granted I said reasonably priced..for what you get. I am looking at getting their complete kit as I described minus the calipers since I have a hookup for GM parts at cost. This will cost me 1500 plus whatever the calipers cost me, so I am hoping to be right at 2-2100 for the total cost.

I compare this against what I bought from ECE which was a 4 wheel disc brake kit all stock parts with CD&S rotors for $1500.

This means I get the bigger rotors and much much better calipers for around 600 more than the other kit cost me.

That is reasonable to me.

looking forward to getting my captain fab d52 caliper brakets, my willwood calipers and disc/disc prop. valve came in sat via fed ex truck. i also went yesterday and got the rotors and a dual diapram booster to go on one of cap. fabs booster brackets. everything is painted and disassembled ready for an upgrade, i cant wait to see the difference manual brakes to four wheel power disc brakes make. lolife 99 did you get your lines yet, just wondering if anyone has figured that part of the process out yet? also what brake pads to use, hmmmm.....?

I plan on using braided lines.
Any line that accepts a 7/16-20 banjo bolt will work.
Speedway Motors sells them in rubber ($39/pair) or steel braided ($49/pair) for a reasonable price.
Make sure you get D.O.T. approved brake lines.
Any stock D52 pad will work. (Same as the front disc brake pads)

Rear disc brake calipers require a flex line.
Ususally a steel line is mounted to the rearend housing and then converted to a flex line at each rear wheel.

Normally yes. In this application they are using front calipers on the rear so it requires the same soft line.

I might add that I found out the hard way that the front flex lines for a 67-72 are much shorter than those for a 73-87.

Wow - I just realized i screwed up! I ordered four of the same front caliper . For the back I need the one with the smaller piston ? I ordered from jeff and he said something about it but i thought he was talking about rotor width ? Can someone chime in on this - Thanks

i got my smaller piston calipers (willwood) from jegs, i belive they measured 1.25 or 1.5, i know the front calipers measured 2.0. i will have to double check the rear calipers measurement to be certain
