14,8 MPG @ 75 MPH on the highway ( legally authorised top speed here).
I'm running on GPL , should be about the same on 95 RON gas. Don't ask the configuration , I know I have a 350 Oldsmobile engine in it , automatic tranny 3 speed , self locking rear axle , that's it The baron _________________________________________________ 1979 Chevy C10 2WD ( stock , but the engine) 1977 Chevy Impala 250ci sedan ( "Ye Old Reliable") 1979 Yamaha XS650 SE (still for sale ) 1960 Girl Friend ( frame still good , body has some dents ) |

Chevy's pick-ups in Belgium
Hi Solidaxel ,
In fact , there are a lot of Chevy pick-up truck at each street's corner They were available at that time by some GM US cars dealers. My father wanted to buy a Blazer back in 1977 , but the gas consumption was to high for him , as the GPL offer was nope... So he bought his first ricer , a Mazda RX7 ( tell me about gas consumption , I think the Blazer would have use less ...) The newest models are sold very well here , as the taxes for driving such a pick-up are low , about 100 US$ a year , depending on the load capacity of the truck . Most of the vintage pick-ups are imports , though , but mine is not , it has been sold in belgium as new in 1979 , with the infamous 350 Oldsmobile Diesel engine in it ... The Baron PS : Where the F*** is Belgium ? Well , it is somewhere between New-York & Beijing , just under the North Pole & a little up Capetown ___________________________________________________ 1979 C10 2WD long bed 1977 Impala 250ci sedan "Ye old reliable" 1960 Girl Friend ( frame still good , body has some dents...) |

Here is my figures 1982 Scottsdale K10. 3.43 gears, stock 350 engine, 700R4 transmission, stock tires, Rochester Quad, air conditioning, and power steering that also runs the power brakes. Normal around town driving, some 4 wheel drive useage through mud, and some WOT launches while doing some minor tweaks on timing and carb, I am getting about 10MPG. With normal driving around town, I should be pulling about 13 as an average. Not sure what the highway mileage is yet. Will find that out in the near future as I am planning a 3+ hour highway trip to pick up an engine/tranny combo for a friend.
