I had a 78 stepside and i put a bumper from an el camino on it and it looked really good. Or you could just get a roll pan with tail lights in it if you don't like the stock look

Not the best picture, but here's mine. Just oval trailer lights in oval, rubber grommets.

me too, I ended up with led stock replacements because people around here are crazy. I need to be as visible as possible

Cool! I went with 63 Impala lights on my 60 Apache which I've since sold. I took the lights off before I sold the truck and plan to use them on my new 62 short step project!
