Re: Fender Flairs
Those look like the cheap stainless wheel opening mouldings. Not really fender flares.
http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.as...tfamilyid=4723 I hope that link works.

Re: Fender Flairs
Hey, the Fall Guy truck!! Beautiful! Two questions: I'm searching for something to ive me a couple inches coverage on my fleetside dually project. It had those ugly rubber things on the back. I changed from 215 to 235-85 tires and now the rears stick out just a tad. I really don't want to put flares on because the "tucked" dually look is what I'm going for in the first place, besides the fronts don't stick out and it would look dumb with flares in the front it doesn't need, or only flares on the rear and none on the front. I've seen those chrome or stainless ones like in the picture above, in JCWhitney. I didn't think they offered any real coverage but in that picture it looks like they do.
Second question: in the picture above the two-tone stripe doesn't come up as high as it should. Is this a mistake or did GMCs actually have a stripe package like that and I've never seen it before. All the two tones I've owned, the stripe touched the mirror. Oddly enough, when I got my 82 it had what I thought of as an 88 style two tone, where the stripe stopped at the body line, however I did learn it was an option in 82. |

Re: Fender Flairs
They won't be sold as flares but I guess you could call them that since they do stick out a little......I think these are them....top left

Re: Fender Flairs
First of all, it is spelled FLARE
Secondly, 99% of the aotomotive community will call that fender trim (especially since it is chrome and at that size, decorative only), a fender FLARE typically is wider (is not chrome) and serves a purpose, to allow a wider tire to fit the vehicle and prevent debris from damaging the paint or to keep the vehicle road "legal". To find fender FLARES, simply type "fender flare" in your Google search, you'll find TONS of hits.

Re: Fender Flairs
yep they have those and the stock style fender trim. I bought the stainless fender trim for my 88 from streetside auto, they price beat too and got free shipping.

Re: Fender Flairs
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-87...Q5fAccessories
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-87...Q5fAccessories BE AWARE THOUGH........ they have HALF trim which only goes down to about the front parklights or where the body molding would be, make sure you get full length or half length whichever you want. this one says long style.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FENDE...Q5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-87...Q5fAccessories http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...e&apwidcwDTtuZ http://www.slickcar.com/productdetai...roductID=37971 http://www.grille4u.com/product_info...paign=products http://www.summitracing.com/parts/QMI-145009/ http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=87 You can also take those part numbers to amazon.com and try them and see if they have them as well. I could not find anything nor could I find them for 87 and older on streetsideauto.com
