truck at the salvage yard

I was up at my freinds yard and he brang in a dually that looks to be from the national gaurd. its a deisel , and i looked at the firewall there was a plastic cover that went the full length , covering everything . there wasnt a wire to be seen , or even the heater motor. it looked really nice.
I think im going to pull it off and see if it will work on mine , should , same truck. I wonder if that is something they used to waterproof the trucks

If you go back up there look and see if he has any corner glass for a 48 to 55 chevy/GMC 5 window.

That plastic cover will be found on all of the 6.2 diesel trucks. It's supposed to make it quieter in the cab. I still have mine, but a lot of people rip them out when they have to change the heater core and never put them back.

yep , it was a deisel , mid 80's , 21/2 or so ton dually shotbox.
ill tell ya what it sure cleans up that fire wall nice.
