new shop truck!!!!!
got this truck for next to nothing! after messin with my truck so much my cousin decided to get another project for the shop, i had my input and we picked this up on tuesday, i ordered the djm spindles and flipkit from summit got it yesterday and ended up with this. its a 75 GMC texas truck, very little rust. the PO was working on it but never got around to finishing it and kind of lost hope on finishing it, i think his wife made him get rid of it. His loss is our gain. it has a 383 stroker motor with aluminum heads, 200r-4 tranny fully buily, and the rear end already has 3.73s and a posi unit. the wheels are some 22" status wheels that we had laying around at the shop. As for the paint the PO had an idea to do the top half of his 2-tone silver on top and rhino line the lower half which he never got around to doing, thank god. we are going to paint the bottom half black to match the wheels and give it a red pinstripe. I hope you guys like it, im glad now i have a round eyed toy to play with. |

Re: new shop truck!!!!!
I'm not a fan of them either, but that's only because larger wheels aren't generally my cup of tea, has nothing to do with the style of them. I think they will look fine though, with the black paint like you said.

Re: new shop truck!!!!!
Im trying to get the body shop next door to finish the body work next week and get it ready for paint, i know the red on the wheels looks weird now, but they will fit in with what we have in mind, besides the wheels were 500 bucks cant complain for that price. I dont know how long they will stay on there but i think they are going to stay for a while once we get it painted. We are going to use this truck to go get parts and motors so we arent trying to spend a fortune so we are going to try to do tings the cheapest way possible. I will get you guys more pictures when i get a chance and clean it up some. It has a nasty 80s style tube grill on it, im not showing that off.

Re: new shop truck!!!!!
That is sick... How much of a drop did you do all around? Also, what size tires? I just bought 20s, might have to upgrade by next summer!

Re: new shop truck!!!!!
nice truck! not my style wheels but with right paint on truck i would still roll them. seems every short box up here has ralleys. and softball size rust holes in every panel and still advertised as "a little rust"
