q for those with one piece windshields.
I have a "one" piece windshield where they put two pieces of glass in my truck and then ran a thin bead of glue down the middle.
My question is what have those of you who have this type of windshield do on the inside trim where the center bar used to be. I have the two big halves for the moulding but nothing to connect them at the top and at the bottom in the center because I dont have the big metal strip up the middle of the glass. Is there a stock piece yall are using or making something up? thanks. |

Can you trim that piece down and silicone it in place?

Re: q for those with one piece windshields.
Cajun-
I am going to use a same 1 piece glass for mine. On the inside I have (2) small OE pieces of trim that connect the left and the right side of the inside windshield trim together. One is for the top and the other is for the bottom. There will be a small area showing where the chrome vertical trim used to tie in be but it should not look too bad. I can take pictures if it helps. Marc Last edited by youngrodder; 05-16-2010 at 09:24 PM. |

This might help you out.. Check out June 2010 issue of "custom classic trucks" on page 62 there is a picture of what you are looking for.. The guy just butted the two peices together, Its not great looking but is not really noticable. I think it's what i am going to do!
The owner of the truck is Larry Walker, its an orange 53 |

Here are some pics [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] These connect the driver side to the pass side interior trim and they have a little notch where the center vertical brace went. Good luck Marc |
