finally getting my gears done tomorrow..

ive been planning on getting my diffs rebuilt for the last 2 weeks.. had the parts. but i have the top off the blazer and its been the raining. but i dropped it off today. putting a eaton posi in with 4.56 gears. it has 3.08's now. think i'll notice a difference? im running a 383 with 465hp/492tq, 700 r4 and a 205 transfercase and 35 inch tires. ive never been in a truck with 4.56 gears. will it be a hugh difference? the blazer is quick now. im pretty pumped to drive it.

im still waiting on my speedo cable, should be in next week. i could do 70 km/h or more in second gear lol. so the 4.56's should work a little better with my setup. all i know is.. .it hauled ass with the 308s off the line. the 4.56 will most likley scare me at first lol.

Re: finally getting my gears done tomorrow..

I've got 4.56 gears in my 69 K20 with 35"s - your transmission will be a big plus with those gears compared to my SM465. You're going to notice a tremendous difference in power!!!

i could smoke the tires off before i changed the gears from 308 to 456. but i spent to much money on the tires and the blazer to be trying to wreck it.
