See what everyone says when they are ready to move, or need something hauled away... That's when you're everyones best friend and they'll love your truck regardless. I love regular cab dually squares. You can not help but look at it and think TOUGH.

Re: here are some pics of the truck im buying!

For a young guy w/ no money you're about to get a crash course in one-ton maintenance & restoration expenses. Three things I've learned in my years dealing w/ heavy squares: there ain't nothing light, easy or cheap about working on these rigs.

If I may offer the following *friendly* advice: don't get cute with these trucks. Whatever it is you plan on doing, save the $$$ and do it right...whether it's brakes, tires, shocks or windshield wipers. Take care of that truck and it'll return the favor ten-fold.

...and if you haven't already, invest in a *quality* jack, jack stands and air tools.

BTW, sweet truck. I dig the standard cab duallys.

Re: here are some pics of the truck im buying!

well my plans are to drive it,work it, and work on the body it has only one bad spot and that is the driver side cab corner.

I know that the fuel millage is killer with the set up
i don't drive trucks like there stolen that is hard on them and im not trying to give them a early death.

The truck is 33 years old im not going to push it things will break if its over worked. this is my saying to if it has bed and it older than 40 im still going to work it.

trucks are made to be worked not to be setting in a garage collecting dust or getting pulled around.

sorry for my random babbling

Re: here are some pics of the truck im buying!

I agree! Trucks are to be worked and I wouldn't be afraid of working that one. That is what it was designed for. Who cares how old it is, if it breaks, fix it. That's part of the game. And the way I look at it, if it breaks, I'm going to fix it better and stronger so it doesn't happen again. I can guarantee I don't spend hours upon hours and weeks into months on a truck build to go out and drive it like my grandmother would. I build a truck for some serious work and the occasional sled pull or what ever. It is a truck after all. Anyway, enjoy that dually! I guess I never really knew that the gold stripe in the trim was a 77 only thing. I've seen that trim on a lot of non 77 trucks.

You did good! For all the improvements that truck has, you got your moneys worth. Go price those tires if you have any doubts.
