tech question

wazup I'm new here I drive a 79 shortbed stepside chevy truck with a 350/TH400

can eny of yall tell me if the front end (front cross member A-frames coils etc.) out of a 1984 suburban will fit in a 1979 chevy truck both are 1/2 ton trucks with 5 lugs......Thanx

Well that was a short answer! Not many parts have changed from 73-87 (plus 73-91 Suburban and Blazer). Welcome to the group!

Welcome to the board. Is your truck wrecked?
I'll be using some A-arms off a Suburban on my truck. This will help save time on the rebuild. One of truck's A-arms is beyond repair anyway.

no the truck is not wrecked but the A- frames are bent and the cross member is cracking and a friend gave me these parts for free out of a 84 suburban just wanted to make sure that they would inter change before I tore it apart......thanx for replying

I know that they would inter change in a truck just was not sure about a suburban to a truck

Welcome! I moved from Hurst to North Richland Hills about a year ago.

Do you have pics of your truck?

Yep, suburbans and trucks are the same as far as front-end goes.
