Re: WTB Pickup Seat Belts

do you realize that 25year old seat belts are mainly cosmetic accessories and unreliable at best for safety purposes

Re: WTB Pickup Seat Belts

I went through several sets from junkyards, every one had about the same issue as mine. The retractor was shot in them. I finally just disassembled one and removed the little 'bell' weight so they'd work. They will not lock up in a wreck though, they are just there for looks more or less.

Re: WTB Pickup Seat Belts

Regular cab, yes i am aware that a 25 year old seat belt would probably not be the best purchase nor the safest one. My request was for a set of seatbelts, i didn't specify "old ones". Thought maybe some one had bought some and decided to change interior color etc. I have in the past seen belts in mid to late 80s trucks in excellent condition, probably due in fact to not being used (wasn't mandatory until this year in Ga) Thanks for all the input greg
