This is how to decode 70-71 GMC vins
Here is a question I get asked enough I guess I should post a way to decode it.

Thanks as well, now I just need to know were janesville is, haven't got a proper map, anyone know which plant produced more trucks, or any unique features from one plant to another?

forward control are like the bread truck chassis, the driver sat over top of or in front of the front wheel
