re-pop source for these brackets?

Anybody know what to call these or who is making them? They mount at the top of the fender/radiator support interface on my 71 Blazer. These aren't mine, but mine look about like this pair. I'd like to put some clean, solid steel in there when I put it back together and I don't feel like the hassle of fabbing them. There are simple enough that they should be an easy re-pop piece.

Thanks guys

Herb! What's up? Are you ready for a meet soon? Glad to see you haven't sold it. The next time I'm at a yard and see a good set I'll call you. I'll pick them for you. Later dude, Mario.

Re: re-pop source for these brackets?

Hey Mario

Nah I still have Seņor Frog (so far). I got the 700R4 mostly in and decided to do a little clean up and detailing in the engine bay. You know how it goes...carb off for the Bowtie Overdrives TV linkage - saw a weeping coolant spot on the intake....then somehow I ended up with the rad support off and the front of the motor stripped down.....oops

It hasn't run in a while now, but the NP205 is rebuild as it was puking fluid badly.

I really do need to thin the herd though. I have a line on a buyer for my Scout, so that'll help some. Gotta figure out my plan for my Jeeps - ended up with a 4.0 I6 with injection and all the harness and ECM and now a buddy's giving me a 2000 Vortec 4.3 V6 with all the brackets, harness and ECM. Gotta figure out who's getting what on the swaps.

Any idea on when Pick-N-Pull's next 1/2 price day is? Got a list coming together.

Herb

No line on a pnp 1/2 price day, but I do have a spot out of town with plenty of trucks. Have you tried Nicks on Roosevelt?

Sure - that would work fine. It's not a concours resto or show truck by any means. I just hate bolting rust-pitted parts back on.

I have a few other odds and ends to buy (battery tray, window run channel, that kind of stuff that most sources carry), so I figured if I could one-stop shop it all, I could save shipping from multiple vendors. I just can't seem to find these things in any of the online repair parts catalogs.

Thanks,
Herb

Unfortunately U Pull It doesn't have any of our trucks if I recall correctly, at least nothing valuable. Won't stop me from going though, I did see 1 or 2 2wd NV4500's.

That would be sweet - I need 3 of those .... or fewer projects.

I need to put together a 'grocery list' and hit the yards

Brothers trucks sells those for 14.99 each if you really want new ones. I saw them in the catalog, but I can't find them online.
