very excited, got a DS and found a huge junkyard with plenty of 73-87's in KY and old

Finally wwent to the junkyard I called about the driveshaft for the 84, had been there 10 years ago and didn't know it was the same place. I know the guys name now exactly where he is which is on state highway 292, guy seem s a bit steep but maybe not, priced out a complete drum to drum posi at $300 removed, ready to pickup and bolt in, guys place is huge. I only seen a smal part of it. I seen it on google earth and it's freaking huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw within 50 feet 5-6 73-87's 3-4 were 4x4 and seen one 67-72 truck, and another 67-72 front end, and a bandit 77 trans am. Guy had this huge pile of driveshafts in a building like 20 foot long and 4 feet high, tons of wheels, tires, transmissions, motors, bellhousings, flywheels you name it. Even had some monte carlo's for a heater box for my brother in law. I can't wait to go back. if anyone wants any info let me know, if I can figure out how to post the google earth pic or link, or something I'd do it so you guys can see the size of this place, and he's got new model stuff too, fords, dodges and chevy.

NOBODy has old stuff anymore around here but this guy does!!!!!!!!!!!

LOl there's no intersection, that I know of, just go to the nolan wv toll bridge in nolan wv, then turn right onto ky state highway 292, and go that way until the first right, which you take and is still 292 but I forget which direction whether it's N, S, E, or W, but it's 5 miles from there and make a right into a dirt driveway.

Thats only 2 hours from my house! All the yards near me scrapped everything 10years old and older 3 years ago when scrap was high.
Does he have any Jeep Cherokees or Comanches?

Re: very excited, got a DS and found a huge junkyard with plenty of 73-87's in KY and

Just took the truck out for a ride, transmission works god and the driveshaft seems to be good too. Had to switch transmission because our long tail non lockup seemed to be like driving with the brakes on, just lugged the motor and was hard to take off or get to highspeed without being floored but it wasn't slipping in the sense of it being like in neutral. Got a short tail non lockup for $75, came with a trans mount(wouldn't work being older style) kickdown cable, dipstick, torque convertor, vacuum line from intake to modulator, an output yoke, shift linkage bracket(u shaped thing on the side), and 9 quarts of atf brand new that is not used lol. Seems to work good, shifts smooth, no sluggishness, hits all gears, downshifts as it should. Driveshaft seems smooth and doesn't shake or squeak.

To share the Google map, find the place on Google, In the upper right bar there is a "link" command, click on that, copy what shows up in the address bar and paste that link into one of these message replies.

here's the part where I got the DS from...

http://maps.google.com/maps?t=h&hl=e...,0.003868&z=18

you can also see right across from it up on the hill there's like 4-5 more rows of cars and trucks. I like on google earth you can go back to dec. a few years ago and see it clearly.

Here's the 2nd part, all the way up to the top of the mountain another bunch of sections or rows...

figured out it had a save image thing on google earth lol.

I went in by the car icon and went down and made the first u turn in there and came back to the building you can see, not sure which building whether it's the one by his last name or the other one closer to the dirt road. I thought it was the one by his name but as I said I'd already seen at least 20 vehicles, and seemed to be a bit further back then the one by his name.
