warning new trend
There`s a new trend in the `55 chevy shoebox department going on, those that want the prostreet look are cutting up our bedsides (fleetsides) to get the fender lip, it seems that it matches the original 55 car pattern, just bigger in lenght to get the MT 33`s tires under it.... I saw a guy in pip yard with an axe cutting the crap out of a fleetside bed, he said thats what they use, this was the third one this month he had cut up to sell.

Re: warning new trend
hmm bad if they cut up a good bed, but good if you have one that is wasted on the ends...
I have a few that are not fixable, but would be good donors for this..

Those pesky Hot Rodders... get out of the yard!
I guess another way to look at it is everyone they cut up makes the remaining ones worth more money. Last edited by lakeroadster; 07-18-2010 at 07:51 AM. |

Re: warning new trend
I'm not saying anything, but..........hadn't of cut yours in the first place.......... buy a patch panel instead..........cheap b******.
The opening on a SWB isn't as long as the LWB according to a fender skirt supplier. 3" difference.

Re: warning new trend
i thought they used the nomad wheel well arch, it is much larger & clears all size tires & is availible repro. maybee if you had cut out the wheel well with a chainsaw on that boys 55 while he was in the yard he would think twice about another one. (can we do that? we can't, can we?)
