New Sandersons and Exhaust (PICS)
Got tired of my stock style exhaust setup. It was like that when I bought this truck, so I always knew since then I would replace with a new system. I came across these Sandersons on eBay for a really good price. I did this project on Saturday and it took most of the day. It was pretty hot in the shop but I was determined to get it done.
Ready for work! Here is how it looked when I started. (Dirty engine bay, daily driver right now) Old exhaust and mufflers. Not even 2 1/2 inch pipes and crappy mufflers... Test fit on passenger side. No trouble at all here. All bolted in and looking a lot better and my truck runs great. (Except in this 100* heat lol) Here is a shot of the new pipes. Tucked up nicely. New 40 Series Flowmasters. They sound mean. Went with turn downs over the rear end so its not so loud in the cab. I was on the highway on the way home it was very nice. (700R4) I did have to change my spark plug wires with angle style spark plug boots. The straight style wouldnt work with the Sandersons.

Was this a kit, or did you bend everything in the shop?

Re: New Sandersons and Exhaust (PICS)
Thanks guys. Nope not a kit, I took it to a local muffler shop for the pipes and Flowmasters, they do very nice work.

Re: New Sandersons and Exhaust (PICS)
that a rear mounted tank by the end of the exhaust? If so not worried about heat there?

Re: New Sandersons and Exhaust (PICS)
That system looks great. Ive never seen the mufflers put in that way, thats a great idea. On my Sons 64 we decided to go to the outside of the frame rail to run the Exhaust. The guy I used tucked the mufflers in the open area just in front of the back tire and then over the diff and strait out the back. How much did that set you back if you dont mind me asking?

Re: New Sandersons and Exhaust (PICS)
Love the thick flanges on your headers, that should hold up nicely. Sure makes a big difference in the looks of your engine bay.
