I wouldn't worry about it. It'd just be a waste of money to ship it. I have another stock VVT cam now lol. But thanks for still offering to ship it.

Re: MONTEZ's LSx thread......

OK...if you say so.
I guess I could make some garage art out of it or something.

Since I'm taking the DOD out, I will probably put a set of LS7 lifters back in it and possibly a set of LS3 valves. The m90 performance package that I will be using (cam, springs, harness, ecu, air filter) is rated at 525hp. That's a somewhat modest rating. They actually put down more around 540hp. Hopefully with the lifters and valves added, I may push it to 550hp, but even still 525hp will be more than enough for what I have planned for it.

Wow, that is impressive. What kind of mods do you have to do to the trans so it will hold that power. Your using the 6L80 right?

None. The 6l80 should hold that fine as long as I'm not out on the track beating the snot out of it every weekend.

Re: MONTEZ's LSx thread......

mine should produce similar numbers with the cam I finally went with (223/231 @ .050 - .610/.617lift 112LSA). I haven't seen any test results on it but based on comparisons to other cams tested with the same block/heads config I have...should be over 500hp, not sure how much though. An earlier cam choice was capable of 525-530hp or so...and this cams bigger.

My 200-4r was built for 500+hp and has a 2500rpm stall converter. I do plan on taking mine to the track and beating on it...and breaking parts until I get it tweaked.

Re: MONTEZ's LSx thread......

Montez,Thought I'd post over here ,few of those guys in the "dropmember " thread are a little snooty!
I looked into Mast A year or so ago & really wanted to use their controller package but just couldnt swing the $$$.I purchased a wrecked 05 gto from the auction & got the harness ecm etc. so I decided to go that route.I'll just tune it w/ hp or efi live.I wanted to use their Blk. Label fuel rails also but again price was the big factor
Its kinda hard on us working guys to afford stuff like Mast & Fast etc..But I know the quality is on par w/ the price. You ought to look into Mast doing some kinda deal for forum members, maybe they can get the price a little more reasonable.
The tape is just body shop 2"

I dont think i would be able to swing a member discount since they arent vendors but I could mention to him about maybe getting some group buys together. To be honest even before I got in on the employee discount, I had weighed my options on harness and pedal and ecm options etc... and when it comes down to it, you only save about $500 staying with the stock computer and harness, provided you don't modify the harness yourself. So I figured a 3 wire hook up with the added potential was the way to go.

I know how it is building on a tight budget. We have a newborn and my wife is now a stay at home mom, so I decied to get a side job to help fund the project, just happened to work out that I knew the guys at MAST . But I also decided where I would cut cost and where I wouldnt and the the M-90 was gonna happen one way or another....
