Lowering rear on 48 question

Does anyone have pictures of the rear stance on a 48-54 truck as low as you can go with stock springs? I was thinking a 3" block was about all you can do without needing to notch the frame. If you have any pictures please post and also the tire size. Thanks for your help.

Re: Lowering rear on 48 question

This one was at a local show last year and I am pretty sure it has a stock drivetrain and suspension. I didn't look under it though.

Blocks aren't going to do you any good with the stock setup because the springs mount on top of the axle housing. Are you thinking about a flip?

Re: Lowering rear on 48 question

My axle is already on top of the spring with a 10 bolt rear end. I am in the process of putting the truck together and looking at tire setups. I will probably need to get the tires on to determine the block size I need. I was just wonder about what the max was in case I need to get to that block size. I am guessing about 3" is the max, but just thought I would check.
