Radiator size

Am going to install an older ARA knee freezer A/C unit in my 66 and am wondering if the standard radiator that GM installed in the truck when built will be large enough to cool system with the addition of A/C? I am running a factory 250 / PG. If not what size radiator should I run? Original GM equipment relacement. Thanks in advance.......

Re: Radiator size

According to the 1963 Chevrolet Custom Features Installation Manual, the stock radiator remains in place when installing an A/C coil. In one of the 63 Service Bulletins I have, it notes if there was a complaint of an inline six running hot, to change to a 17" diameter fan to increase the draw of air through the radiator.

"Knee Freezer", LOL I've heard of "Crotch Air"
