Turbo 350 install
I did a search and did not find any threads for a turbo 350 install in my 65 c10.Most likely operator error. My question is,what do I do about the e-brake assembly?I have not test fit the engine trans yet ,but it is definitely in the way.I have a crossmember from a 71 for the trans.I need the e-brake to pass inspection ,so it's kinda important that I retain it.Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Turbo 350 install
The 66-68 trucks (I believe) used a setup with cables only, attached to the frame at front right side with a cross-cable instead of fixed crossmember mounting.
Somewhere on here is a diagram but I couldn't find the one I had - might try a search. |

Re: Turbo 350 install
I shouldn't try to think while working…
Forgot to mention, there ARE original automatic crossmembers around but rare, and I think some aftermarket shops (like www.classicperform.com maybe?) make a version with the brake lever, but pretty pricey |

Re: Turbo 350 install
I re-built the E-brake when I swapped in the TH350. There are some pictures in my build thread "Bubbas recycling project".
I think Lakeroadster has some shots of his arrangement in his thread also. He used a floor mounted hand lever and I left the original lever but adapted to a tilt column. It is just a lever fulcrum. I just tried a few different ideas and went with one that worked. Good luck-- I can send you more pictures and lengths if you need them. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=365170 Post 87 and 88 show the linkage --Page 1 has the column adaptation
