'66 wiper issue

does anyone have a wiring diagram for a '66 panel, would even settle for a pu one. My motor has 5 wires going to it and as far as I can tell none of them is hot. I would be happy if I could even make them run with a toggle switch. Any help would be appreciated as aggravated as I am now I am about ready to run a string out the window. $40 for a switch and $160 for a motor is more than I am ready to spend till I can atleast understand why it does not work now. Thanks

Re: '66 wiper issue

I dont have a diagram handy but maybe I can guide you.

Hot wire from fuse goes to motor ( I think it is yellow), light blue wire goes to switch.

BTW do you have a two speed switch?

OK, I found one

Re: '66 wiper issue

The harness is a new " painless wiring" harness. Had no trouble at all with wipers before changing harness

Re: '66 wiper issue

I am trying to remember mine......I believe the black and yellow go to the pump, the black through the harness should go to the switch. Have you called Painless? which harness did you get?

Looking at their 63-66 wiring harness diagram, page 27 figure 7.19 and table 7.4, does that help you any? I got it off their website

Re: '66 wiper issue

They said as long as it was hooked up like the pic provided it "should" work. I guess we are down to part swaping

Re: '66 wiper issue

so you have it like they have stated right? maybe a dumb question but where is your switch? is it dangling under the dash? it needs to be grounded in the dash surround I think.
