need info on what posi carrier i need for my 65 shorty

i have a 65 with a twelve bolt i believe it is the stock rear end ,i was wondering what posi unut i need ,or are they all the same,,,thanks for your help in advance

I have an Eaton Posi---# EAT19556 for 3.73 & up. From Randy's Ring and Pinion. Paid $330 in 2001. The truck unit is different I think. --Jeff

You just need a 'posi' unit for a truck 12 bolt. They were built from 1963 thru 1982. Which series depends on what gears you want to run. The 4 series carrier is for 3.73 and higher numerically, and the 3 series is for 3.42 and lower numerically. There are several different posi's, lockers or whatever you want to call them.
