In the cab vents

Is there any logical reason to keep those vents on either side of the kick plate especially if you're planning on putting A/C in??

Re: In the cab vents

Nope, at least I couldn't think of any! I used some Eastwood rust encapsulator inside and out as far as I could get it up in there, made a cover out of 3/16 abs plastic using the vent as a template. Used some stainless screws and RTV sealant to make it permanent. Then sound deadened over it... You can see the outline of it in the kick panel area. Sticks up about a 1/4 of an inch with the deadener but I plan on making some fiberglass speaker kicks so no problem there.
