Polyurathane Help

Hopefully someone can provide and answer. The previous owner of my truck put in bed wood and polished stainless strips. I have removed all the crappy wood he used. My problem is, that he sprayed it all with polyurathane, wood and strips. Most of it has come off the stainless, but trying to figure out what to use to remove the rest of it from the strips without damaging them.....thanks in advance for any suggestions

Look at info on paint stripper. See if it will hurt stainless.

You might know someone with a wood planer. If you do just tell him you will buy him lunch if he runs your planks through his planer. 1/64 is all you need to remove the finish and varnish and have all new looking wood! cheers, Pat

I used paint stripper and got off all the poly from the stainless, had to do it 3 times to get it all, but it worked fine, polished and buffed it, now just waiting for the bolts to come on Monday. As for the wood I replaced all the Oak with Ash, thats all sanded and ready to be dry fitted and holes drilled. Thanks for the info.
