Two Tone Tailgate?

I'm planning on painting my truck two tone like these pics. Anyone have a pic of the factory paint scheme for the tailgate?

Re: Two Tone Tailgate?

I'm glad I came across this thread, I'm about to two tone mine and was curious also. body line does not carry onto tailgate. Here's what I'm thinking about, but not so nuclear orange, its going to be hugger orange.

Re: Two Tone Tailgate?

ive been curious about this too. i want to do mine eventually...

I was thinking of painting outside of tailgate main body color, then inner rectangle of tailgate secondary color, then lettering main body color.

can anyone visualize what Im saying? or anyone seen this/has a picture? ive looked but havent seen one done this way but think it has potential to look good

Re: Two Tone Tailgate?

If you send me a pic of your tailgate, I can photochop what your talking about. I'll do mine tonight to see a couple different color combos. mopedextreamist@yahoo.com

Re: Two Tone Tailgate?

I'm having mine painted the factory two-tone of Varsidy Blue and Olympic White. The pattern you see in the(2nd. Pic) I have that booklet and it for the Canadian GMC/Chevy's . They flipped the color.

The US versions mostly painted the stock trucks White over (color) IF YOU NOTICE the color on the gate DOES NOT FOLOW the side lines, it's slightly shorter. That is the correct pattern.

I'm sorry, I have been swamped. I did a quick job to at least make it legible. You could have prob done better with ms paint, but here ya go. This is a 10 minute job.
