sm465 to m20/m21 or t10
Looking for a little info before heading off to the swap meet. I have a 78 swb 350 4sp. Has anyone on this forum swapped out their granny low four speeds for a "car" 4 speed. Looking at the m20/m21 or the t10. Really looking to talk with someone who actually did the swap. I searched the forums and cant find a completed swap. A link to a write-up would be great, or let me pick your brain alittle.

Easy swap. A car 4spd will not work with a truck bell housing as-is, so you need to either use a car bell (if you have a 12" clutch, you'll need a smaller setup with a car bell), or you need to have an adapter ring made for the truck bell housing to allow the smaller front bearing retainer of the car transmission to fit. I personally went with the adapter ring b/c of how expensive car bell housings have become. I can send you contact information for the guy that made the adapter for me if you're interested, he sells them for ~20 bux. You'll have to cut a new hole in the floor further back for the shifter and move your crossmember accordingly.
