Floor Shifter

What is a good automatic floor shifter to put in a square body. My brother had a megashifter in his '84 but I didn't like how low to the floorboard it was.

Re: Floor Shifter

b&m unimatic is pretty tall and about $120 if your looking for something simple
kinda has that old 4-speed look to it, just a boot and a stick pretty much. had one in the blazer and it worked pretty good between the dash and the middle console. no pics, truck is long gone now.

Re: Floor Shifter

Sorry for the crappy cell picture but this is a truck megashifter here with a bench seat . If you had buckets you could mount it a little further back which would make a difference as right now it seems kinda far away but does work good

Re: Floor Shifter

I think I'm gonna go with the megashifter because the website says the unimatic doesn't come with the switch for the reverse light, or can that be added?

Re: Floor Shifter

u can buy the other reverse light switch and stack-mount it on top of the NSS. and i think it is the same switch, they are about $10.
or on the cars that came with factory floor shifters, there is a rod from the shift linkage still to the column that will work the factory one. that way your fatory gear selector would work. i did this to mineand everything worked fine. ive seen also that some astro and FS vans i believe have a cable and bracket is im not mistaken to take place of the rod.
