1987 R10 v6 conversion to v8
Has anyone converted a 4.3 v6 to a 350? if so what exactly had to be done to the motor mounts?

since your doing that, why not go with an LS motor, youll be glad you did. The lsx will give you better power and more MPG than the 350, all you would need to do is update your intank fuel pump to a Walbro 255 and do some wiring changes. Do you have a 4 or 3 speed tranny?

Motor mounts are the same.

does the frame brakets have to be moved forward? I do know there's a difference in v8 brackets and v6 brackets.

the 4.3 is nothing but a 350 without the two extra cyl on the front, mounts should be the same along with all acces. mounts also.
I think you could do a 5.3l with under 100k miles for probably under $1k total. it would do much better mileage than a stock 350.

Mounts are the same, "towers" are different.
But should be available in any 73-87 v8 truck.
