What issues are you running into with the rear brake lines? If you want to use flexible lines at the caliper you could use some front lines, or you can bend some steel ones and leave some extra, or wrap a coil for removal purposes. I like the flexible lines at the calipers, but that is a little more cost.

That hill would be a heck of a climb! I never got past the intermediate for practice, i only tryed racing motocross once in the beginner class. Have raced a lot of enduros and hair scrambles, anymore i just trail ride on my
WR250F, being at work on monday is more important than risking broken bones.. (reality set in i guess, reallity=money)

Your frame off is looking great! i cant wait until i can do the same thing if i ever get myself a place with a shop.

Very nice. One thing I'd add, try to get something to mount the steel line where the rubber line attaches so your line doesn't vibrate and crack eventually. Heck, even zip tying it to the u-bolts might work.

Re: Doing it for the kid! 71K20 4X4

OK. weve made some progress, weve taken a few steps backwards and made a few in the right direction. First of all we finaly picked up the freshly rebuilt 700R4 with the correct adapter for the NP205. next progress was made with the help of my daughters boyfriend and my sons best friend; we stripped the donor truck down and we are getting all of the body panels ready for filler and cutting in. Now for the step backwards, while lookinfg for new spicer big hub outers i realized my good friend who owns a CNC machine shop had an outfit that could strip the old ones and then replate them, how cool, i thought. Well it seems that thier idea of strip and our idea of strip were totally different!!!!!!!!!!!photos to follow. Now the good news, one of his employes found me a dana44 with a set of spicer hubs that were actually nicer than my originals and the whole front axel only set me back 120.00$ and the outfit who goobered up my originals will be paying that bill My next bit of good news is that my engine will be going in for a rebuild starting in the middle of the week!!!!!!!!!! So needless to say i think my new year is starting out on the positive side.

Sorry to hear you have had some of the same luck I have. Stuff like this is why I don't play the lottery! They sure make for some good stories though.

Hey, but at least you are keeping a sense of humor about it and you are now headed in the right direction.

AHMEN on that lottery thing. As long as we keep the ball moving down field , then we will make it! By the way i love the attention to detail in your build, it lets me know how much more i could be doing, i say that in an inspiring way.

Thanks brother. You call it attention to detail but my wife calls it obsessive behavior - she's a psychologist.

And I dig how you and your son are working on this together. My son just turned 9 and I'm hoping to snag his interest at some point. He is asking questions. I guess we've got to start somewhere.

Re: Doing it for the kid! 71K20 4X4

It still a struggle all be it a good struggle. I still have to split time with his PS3 and his other love(which i got him into at the the ripe old age of 7 ( i love it also) motocross.) I guess its better than him just being an a-hole, Seriously though this has been a blast to this point, so much so i will be doing a 70-71 4x4 blazer for my daughter when we are done By the way where is High Point in relation to Atlanta, im originaly from North GA, just curious.

I doubt that but what you're doing looks great to me. Hopefully I'm not too far behind you. I keep running into these crazy issues that sap what little time I have but I just keep chopping wood. . .Your build helps keep me motivated since you are very close to where I am but far enough ahead to keep me focused. Keep those updates coming!
