s10 swap driveline question

I have a 350 I'm putting in my s10 swap. Is the engine supposed to sit level or does it slope downwards once mounted in the frame with the trans attached? I have not put the driveshaft in, but looking at the engine level it appears the driveshaft will have a decent slope to the rear end. again this is just looking at it, not having mocked it up yet.

on a stock S10, the drivetrain does slope down in the back.
if you set the frame low to the ground and to what appears to be level, with just the engine/trans on it, the slope really seems to stand out.

Agreed... I'm using the 4x4 rear and the pinion angle is upward by exactly 4 degrees... if you mount the motor and trans cross-member down 4 degrees on a stock leveled frame... it's REALLY apparent (angle measured from the carb boss).

Thadious...you have the 4x4 rear pointed up 4 degrees and the trans cross brace down 4 degrees. How low is your ride height, any clearance issues on the driveline?

Cab is 3 1/2" off the frame (give or take 1/2 rake to the front), tires are 235/70/R16's with 2 1/2 BS on a 7.5" rim, running boards sit 10 1/2" off the ground front and rear and I've got 2" lowering blocks in the rear at the moment.

Plan is to drop the front another 2" with spindle drops and 1" in the rear with a spring swap.
