Re: Camaro SS Intake

I believe you would have to have all the Camaro front accessories for that Camaro intake to work.

Re: Camaro SS Intake

Thank what would be a better lower profile intake that wouldn't involve me swapping all the accessories.

Re: Camaro SS Intake

I dont think you can change the intake without changing the accesories because the car intakes sit alot lower than the truck ones and stuff gets in the way. Why do you want to change? for the cool factor? looks? the truck intake will give you more lower end torque but the car intake will give you higher revs....I think that is how it goes. Also you might want to check out LS1tech.com and ask the question too.

Re: Camaro SS Intake

Look into dirtydingo. (Google)You can get brackets made to keep your truck accessories but use a car intake as well. Also im not sure that the new camaro intake will fit on the 5.3 heads. I think the intake ports are different. One being cathedral port and the other being rectangle. Just something else to look into

Re: Camaro SS Intake

If your 5.3L has cathedral port heads (which I'm sure it does) the 2010 Camaro SS (LS3) intake will not work because it is designed for square port L92 type heads as well as the accessory drive issues mentioned above.
