Ebay 51 Chevy Lowrider

This might not be everyone's cup of tea. However, there is an insane amount of attention to detail here. Who ever the engraver was has some serious skill.

Re: Ebay 51 Chevy Lowrider

Just because it can be done doesn't mean you should ...

Let me send him 95K so he can cash the check & wire back 10K whilst setting up shipping with my local contact.

Sure, sure .... ya, ya.

It's a beautiful truck in it's own way but it is so personalized to the owner it was built for that it may be a real hard sell.

Someone must have put in a Helluva lot of hours in that...that engraving demands attention. As far as the theme and the seller....whatever

Re: Ebay 51 Chevy Lowrider

sad to see a truck like that IMO...

It would take more money than it's worth to strip it and fix it right.

Re: Ebay 51 Chevy Lowrider

On one hand: Wow...amazing work. Did it win any awards?

On the other hand: Usually upscale show trucks are trailer queens or straight up impracticable or unusable. They managed to do all three AND turn it into a pretty Christmas tree ornament. IMHO it is literally equivalent to a sculpture, albeit a beautiful one. I hope someone can turn it into a center piece and make money off of the tourism it is bound to draw.

Now, if I somehow inherited it...you bet I'd drive the !@#$ outta it

Re: Ebay 51 Chevy Lowrider

I really like the idea of the truck and the attention to detail is amazing. the myan pyrimad (spelling) for the air cleaner and shift gat is awesome. I can really respect the quality of the work, but I am not a fan of trailer queens and would want to drive the crap out of it. Wrong truck for me but nice to look at...... Maybe I would if I won the 335million mega drawing.

It probably has won a batch and has had it's run at winning in the area it's in and that is the big reason it's up for sale. Every show rig has it's time in the limelight and then it's yesterday's news. That's probably the case in this truck and you can pretty well bet he has a lot more in it than the asking price from the looks of things. The cost of the engraving would be more than the sum total of what my truck will cost when it's finished.
