Re: Above window rust
Do a search with "drip rail rust" and you might get some results.

I recently had my roof replaced. I had major rust top of front windshield, Inner & outter.. If it rained outside, it rained inside too... All good now... |

Re: Above window rust
As a fairly new member, I am amazed at some of the repairs that I have seen going on. I recently purchased a truck that has had some roof repair done, but was not really a good repair. Other than going to a salvage yard, is there another way to purchase roof repair parts? It would seem that good parts are available for repairs for most areas except the roof and cowl/vent areas.

Re: Above window rust
Both, front inner roof patch panels and the roof are availible for repairs. We cary them both. The firewall can be purchased also, but the cowl panel isn't availible yet. WES

Re: Above window rust
In the last year i have read about repairs in the windshield area, i run into the posts by frequenting the projects and builds sections of the forums, it takes a lot of reading as most are not posted spicificly for a windshield area repair and are hard to search using the search function but if ya want to learn about rust repair the best way seems to follow different builds.

Re: Above window rust
Bajaracing...what tools is needed to do that roof donor?? I see you have some bars within the cab to add support? I'm a novice and would like to inquire how you managed to do that.

CEE1NG_RED
While searching for a roof here, a member sent me a link to a CL post in Menefee. The guy has a huge yard full of parts. He said take your pick, $80.00, he'll cut it off. Turns out Steele happened to be there too, picking up a rolling chassis for Model A-T? He suggested where to cut, and said it was an easy job, $500.00 So, total of 580 for roof/labor. |
