55-59 CPU Bolt on Brake KIt

Here is our bolt on brake kit for 55-59 chevy pickups. Its very easy to install and uses the factory pedal.

#1 Bolt the bracket into the stock master cylinder holes.

#2 Drill two holes on the side of the frame and one on the bottom for more strength

#3 Bolt the booster and master cylinder into the new bracket ass.

#4 Connect the linkage as shown (the threaded rod will need to be trimmed)

#5 plumb brake lines to wheels

#6 bleed brakes

Cool Re: 55-59 CPU Bolt on Brake KIt

A little trick for filling the master. If you have a girlfreind this might help you. Sometimes girls wear this powder stuff and it has a mirror in the case. When the powder is gone they throw the case and the mirror away. Take the mirror out and glue it to the floor so you can see inside the master cylinder when under the vehicle.

Is that a little weld there on the pedal where it meets the extender bracket?

Yes we put a small tack on there. Normally I dont do that its not really needed. One of our techs is an ex airplane mechanic and he always goes the extra mile to ensure that everything will work as designed. Makes the customer and I feel good to see extras like that.
